Outdoor Mirrors have a special weather sealed backing, hanging hardware, and a heavy duty sealed rubber molding.Threaded mounting bolts are furnished on the backside of the mirror for attachment to braces. These are necessary for high wind conditions. Acrylic mirrors are recommended for outdoor use, however glass may be used if desired.

Shatterproof glass is avaliable in all glass models at a slight additional cost.

Resistance to breakage-Acrylic is over 14 times more resistant to breakage than glass, resulting in fewer accidents.
Lighter in weight-Acrylic is less than half the weight of glass; making it much easier to install.
Safety-Acrylic protects bystanders from injury. Even when subjected to high impact blows, acrylic breaks into large, dull edged pieces which disperse at low velocity. Further, acrylic mirrors meet OSHA safety requirements.
